How to Submit to The Wild Rose Press

The Wild Rose Press, Inc. is a royalty paying publisher. We accept queries from genres other than romance. Including but not limited to women’s fiction, mystery or thriller, historical fiction and erotica. Please read the details on how to submit properly for our lines and their requirements below before sending us a query.

We only accept manuscripts between 7,500 and 100,000 words, for print eligibility the manuscript must be a minimum of 45,000 words. Our contract terms are for 5 years and renew yearly.

Query us electronically via email to queryus@thewildrosepress.com with TWRP Query, the manuscript title, and the genre in the subject line.

Tell us your name, email, and be sure to include your contact information. Include the word count, a highly detailed synopsis, and the first 5 pages of your manuscript in the body of the email.

Traditional Publishing Submission Details and Genres

Each of our genre departments accept submissions meeting their specific storyline requirements that do not have a romantic aspect. Please examine the genre department for more details on what we’re looking for.

Sweetheart Rose – these stories are sweet/clean in nature. If it’s a romance, the couple only has sex behind closed doors.  Think Hallmark movie.

Champagne Rose – these stories are spicy. If it’s a romance, the love scenes are fully described and the heat level is not quite erotic but very hot.  

Crimson Rose –  this is our murder/mystery/thriller category.  It can be romantic suspense (sweet or hot), it can be a cozy mystery or action/adventure.

Fantasy Rose – this line is for Science Fiction, Faeries, Sprites, Witches, Ghosts,  Steampunk.

Black Rose – this line is for dark paranormal. Think werewolves, demons, vampires, evil spirits and more.

These romances, if appropriate, can be as hot as necessary or can be sweet.

American Rose – this line includes stories that took place on American soil from the earliest colonial times through to the industrialization of the early 20th century.

Cactus Rose – this line includes stories west of the Mississippi from the late 1860’s to the end of the 19th century.

Vintage Rose – this line is a tribute to the 20th century with stories that take place up to and including 9-11.

Tea Rose – these stories are set prior to 1900 and occur outside of the U.S.

Or Erotic line accepts stories in all genres, including but not limited to paranormal, historical, contemporary, fantasy, sci-fi, of erotica and erotic romance featuring both heterosexual and homosexual relationships. Stories must be rich in sexual content, while sex scenes should be graphically described, including narrative, action, and dialogue.
