She remained there and watched him. His eyes were closed and inky lashes rested on his cheeks. Stubble from a beard he refused to grow darkened his cheeks and chin. His hand rested on the empty cradle. It rocked with the momentum of the chair.
Josh opened his eyes as if sensing her stare and reached out his open palm. "Come here."
He pulled her to sit in his lap. She felt his chilled lips touch hers and closed her eyes as he trailed to her neck. "I have missed your touch so." He whispered.
